It's all good advice. But unfortunately, getting off the Advo/PennySaver mailing lists doesn't mean you'll actually stop receiving them. IME the postman does not actually pay attention to the address card, just stuffs one in every mailbox in my apartment complex - so I frequently get my neighbor's copies, or one with no address card at all. Annoying, and no amount of complaints to the local post office about misdelivered and unaddressed mail has fixed it.
Another tool when someone simply won't honor your requests to get off their lists, is USPS Form 1500. It's a last resort but it does actually work - I ended up there after months of AT&T Broadband refusing to stop sending 3x/week solicitations. |

I wonder how they'd implement this with items that are general all address in ZIP code type delivery. Maybe I'll give it a try with one of those type of items. =)
