[Connectivity] We have been migrated.

Hello All!

As of Midnight Lafayette IN (47909-0900) have been migrated over from InSightBB to Comcoast. Anyone here from Laf/IN? I didn't even have to reboot my modem. All I had to do was refresh my connection on my Endian Firewall.

P Smith

@comcast.net

Yep... I had to reboot my modem and router this morning (Monday 3/3).

Here's my speed test:

_NOT GOOD_ considering I'm supposed to have 10/1 service.

But I will wait a while to see if they get it figured out.

Another thing that I'll probably start another thread about: I've started getting SPAM - LOTS of it. I've *never* had this before, and I don't use my insightbb.com address for much of anything public. Prior to the switch I'd get maybe one a week, and it was always marked with "[suspected spam]" or something like that. Now I get 10-20 per day, and none of them are marked. I think someone didn't migrate the spam filter or forgot to turn it on.

What is it set to when you visit »mailcenter.comcast.net ?

Assuming that you are talking about spam on the Comcast platform.

I cannot login to the mailcenter @ comcast.

My e-mail has not been migrated (yet). Just my HSI has been changed (as of this morning). If I do have an e-mail account on comcast then I don't know what it is.

But, something has definately changed wrt spam. It started about the time when I got the warning that I would be invited to convert my e-mail (which was about 2-3 weeks ago, IIRC).

It looks like we got moved at about 4:30 am. I just had to tell my router to renew the DHCP lease. I moved my email over to gmail last year, so I really don't care about the email issues.

As far as speed goes, I saw 7.1m/1.5m this morning with the Java test against NYC, NY, USA. The download is about the same as before, but I've never seen the upload break 1m before.

Thanks, P Smith. I didn't run a speed test until now.

My speed seems to be good. I'd have to agree though never seen my upload break 1mb. As for the email. I don't use or never used isp email. I feel it's too unreliable. As for the spam it's give or depending where you go. Gmail is slammed with spam but my Yahoo doesn't get hardly any at all. At least the spam in Gmail goes where it suppose too.
