| Topic Search functionlity
Is there a way we can search and return TOPICS only instead of posts? I'm often searching to find if a topic has been addressed, and I can only search via posts so I have to search through hundreds of search results to see what the topic is. It would be nice to browse the topics then if I find nothing go to the post search for a broader search. Am I missing this option somewhere or is the option missing? I find this helpful in a lot of other forums I visit.

We used to be able to search for topics. When did it change? I seldom use the search function and when I have I was looking a post by specific person. But I remember when we could search for topics and that is what I usually did.

I have an upcoming project where I wish to scan a larger number of 35mm slides, 35mm prints and negatives.
I am looking for a scanner beyond the 100 -200 buck range and have questions about automation, speed, settings and so on.
Did a search sometime ago and was presented with much too much 'chaff' info within the 'posts'.
Would've preferred topic search for a quick and dirty search. Yes, I can google - but trust comments within these forums, from those who have already plowed the field.

Edit: clarified the subject The problem with "Topic" search results is that people have a habit of NOT indicating in the topic title what the thread is about, thus many results wouldn't show.
