[FireFox] MySpace Flash Music Player Problem

MySpace Flash Music Player
For some strange reason on the family computer (not mine), whenever my sister goes onto MySpace music profiles, the music player won't display correctly, which results in not even seeing the play list and no music playing. I know this isn't a flash problem because YouTube and other flash related sites work perfectly fine. Not to mention that Flash is installed for both IE and Firefox on their machine. Same results happen in Internet Explorer as well and on other user accounts. MySpace music profiles are working perfectly fine on my computer in Firefox without a problem, so I know that it must be something on the computer. The question is, what could be causing this problem? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash as well as Firefox, so that resolution is out of the question.

Got NoScript, Flashblock, or AdBlock Plus installed?

Or MySpace may require a cookie to be allowed in order to view videos. So check that setting as well-- though I suppose if she's trying to watch while already logged-in that wouldn't be it.

Don't have NoScript or Flashblock installed. I do have AdBlock Plus installed but that's never been a problem. I already disabled it before to see if it would help but the same thing happens. I'm really trying not to redo the whole machine again, I just did it recently. Any other suggestions?

Well, the fact (which I just noticed) that it won't play in either IE or Firefox, yet other Flash videos display properly, leads me to believe it's a MySpace website issue-- either on her end or theirs.

Specifically what to suggest, I really don't know.

Well that's the funny part, if it was on MySpaces' end then it wouldn't work on my machine either would it? That's not the case though, the MySpace Music Player works perfectly fine on my machine with the same setup.

Different machines, different configurations.

Which is what it might narrow it down to-- a configuration issue regarding MySpace on her end, on that machine. Especially since you say the video won't play in either browser.

Again-- specifically what issue that might be, I haven't a clue.

It's not a video problem. YouTube videos as well as MySpace videos are working fine, so I'm pretty sure it's not flash if it's working on other websites perfectly fine. The Music Players on people's MySpaces work fine, it's only on the artist sites that aren't working. That's why I figured I could fined some help here.

And I'm agreeing with you that it doesn't seem to be a Flash/video problem.

I've also told you what I think it could be.
I'm not a user of MySpace, therefore I've also told you that what I've already said is about the limit of my ability to help.

I'd bet that you can get some help here.

Somebody will chime in with some ideas for you, no doubt.

Good luck with it.
