Re: Club fed is way too forgiving So, you want an old man to die because of a hockey team?
How shallow are you?
This is a DEATH SENTENCE! Make no mistake about it. 83 years old, and a 15 year sentence. And there is no parole in the federal system. You must serve 85% of the time. That's 12 year, 8 months. He'll be 96 by then.
He'll die there. No question. |

Yes he should die becasue of a hockey team, and yes I am shallow. Hockey is a way of life and the blood of this area. If the Sabres would have left, the local economy would be worse then it is now. Either that dipshit and his family can suffer or the 1.3 million residents of the greater Buffalo-Niagara Frontier can suffer. Did you mourn Ken Lay's prison sentence as well?

 | So, everybody who commits fraud should be sentenced to death?
So, the card game I cheated at with my little brother when I was 10 earns me a bullet in the back of the head?
Greetings, comrade. Papers, please. |

Last I checked, this isn't a card game, and the person in question is hardly anyone's "little brother". The "petty crime" screwed many out of their livelyhoods, and the man is hardly anywhere near being an ignorant child.
Please. A senior citizen *and* performing mass corporate money laundry for personal benefit? He knew damn well what kind of game he was getting into. |

No, but everyone who does a crime should pay for that crime. They should all pay the same penalty regardless of age. He's a criminal plain and simple and should be dealt with just like every other criminal.

So, the card game I cheated at with my little brother when I was 10 earns me a bullet in the back of the head? Greetings, comrade. Papers, please. Are you serious? Please. If you can't see the difference between a card game that affects nobody and a money scam that affects thousands of honest and hard-working people and their families, you have some issues.
The guy committed a crime that warrants the amount of time he got, if not more. He's 83, but he knew exactly what he was doing. The fact that he may die in jail is something he should have thought about before taking part in the scam.
Forgive any of us who have no sympathy for such selfish people who could care so little about the people that helped them build their empire because the millions of honest dollars were not good enough for them. |
