I ditched SP1, seems the problems I fixed cant be worked around. I guess I'll wait and see if they tweak it some more.
I can now use the caching and it stays on. |

| reply to Sindows 7 Are you sure it was SP1? I know the Intel Matrix Storage Driver disables the write caching options in Device Manager (however, write caching is still enabled, just handled by the Intel driver). -- "Don't steal. The government hates competition." |

 | reply to Sindows 7 Try converting from basic to dynamic volume on the boot disk, if that is an option for you. I had a system that turned off the cache setting after each reboot; after converting the volume to dynamic, the cache enable setting was preserved between reboots.

Tried the SP1 version just released today and it still wont enable.
I see the old driver still lingering.  |
