CPU fan RPM rate

What is normal RPM rate for CPU fan?
I got a new heatskink to repalce loud fan,but it did not help with speed i am still getting 1000RPM,but i am sure EVEREST Ultimate Edition reports a lot of things in correctly.

I dunno... Everest show the fan on my P4 3.0 at 3375RPM. Maybe yours is variable speed and speeds up as required?

There is no 'normal' some are temp sensitive as you noted and the speed of the fan will depend on the what the fan was built to run it anyhow...

Smaller fans are likely to spin faster than bigger one, so there isn't any set RPM -- as long as the CPU temp is good, fan RPM shouldn't matter.

My Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is set to PWM which is determined by how hot the CPU is. When the CPU is idle the fan's at around 950 rpm.
