so they have 1billion with a B to spend OVER SEAS but cant spend that much AT HOME for REAL FTTH like Verizon

right....

It's just realisation that the U.S. is quickly becoming a third world nation. A third world nation doesn't need a first class internet connection for the masses. We need more loans from China and Dubai to keep the ever thinning veil hiding that we can't afford our current life style.
