| Actually, when Frances and Jeanne hit here, it was the Bellsouth DSL that went down, and the Adelphia cable was working fine here...
Bellsouth's only saving face was since the phone lines were necessary for 911, there was more priority on getting those up than cable... but that was basically a patch job to just have voice, and we still had to wait the 2 weeks for DSL to come up... |

Quakertown, PA | lets be honest, its all about bashing comcast and it doesnt matter how well they do. its just all about bashing comcast. screw the fact they have upped speeds and maintained the network above any persons expectations its still comcast and they suck. |

You're kidding yourself - when Katrina and Wilma blew through here I lost DSL + Telephone service for WEEKS. I didn't have cable at the time so I don't know how long they were down. So its a moot point - if a hurricane comes, EVERYTHING is lost and I am sure there are OTHER problems to worry about. About the only service that still worked I heard about was Verizon Wireless... |
