Phone 770-729-xxxx

Looking for internet t1 or 2xt1 pricing at this business location. We already have a cisco 2800 there so no router is needed.

Thanks

Nice name, my name is Brent also.

Not that these prices arent good, but is there any sort of "bulk" discount? Im just testing the waters here, but i have 2 more locations in atlanta plus one in mobile, new orleans, bowling green ky, paducah ky, several in houston plus some im probably forgetting and future locations.

We have a decent deal with at&t for a non managed MIS circuit its still somewhat expensive at ~500 something and a 2xt1 is ~$800 something. Comparing that to some of the prices around here is the main reason i decided to check into other providers.

We are considering a migration off of DSL in any areas and in most of those the only other feasible option is a t1.

Thanks for such quick responses

Feel free to pm if you would like more information

Hi there, I can provide you with a bonded T1 (3 Mbps) for $568 per month...

Also, regarding your bulk discount comment, special lower pricing is definitely a possibility for additional sites.

"bulk" pricing is often requested as a means to chisel the price of only one circuit. Carriers don't fall for that trick anymore.

If you want "bulk" pricing, then you'll have to commit to "bulk" locations. You should list those locations that are available for other carriers to bid today ... listing locations with term commit remaining won't count toward any "bulk" pricing. Another reason for showing all locations is to identify if carriers can connect to all of your locations. Some providers (for instance Covad and XO) won't be able to serve every location. If you're trying to do a network, you'll want to know upfront if you'll have to split your network among different providers.

We can offer multi-site discounts, in some cases, but we can't really discuss that until multiple site locations have been ordered, or at the very least a quote is requested.

We try and work with users as much as possible, so feel free to PM me with more details, if you would like.

that's great! for each location, will you be providing the router? only a single T1 at each location? these are all for internet access, yes? do you prefer or require a single invoice, or you just want best price for each location irrespective of the number of networks or the number of bills? And are all these locations now off contract and available for network migration?

We have cisco 2800 at all of these locations. If possible i would like single t1 and 2xt1 pricing. All are for internet access only and all are NEW service. It would be best to have each location on its own bill. It is nice now i guess having everything on the same att network, but honestly i am not too worried about the provider and a little increase in latency as long as it is stable.

Also i guess i should mention i am open to mpls/fiber or any other means of connection where i can get at least the same speeds as t1/2xt1 and at least a /25 fully routed subnet.

Also guess i should mention our budget is ~600ish for each location so if the other options are much higher than 2xt1's then lets not mess with those.

I've started pricing these locations and I'm receiving prices as low as $299 at some of them. However, it likely will have to be split among 2-3 providers.

Found one more to add.

610 E. County Line Road
Ridgeland, Mississippi, 39157
601-956-xxxx

As i said im not against different providers. I will admit i havent dealt with any other t1 support except att's but im guessing these other providers would be similar? 24x7 support with some sort of SLA? Uptime is of course very important

If possible i wouldnt mind knowing the carrier at each location that can be serviced. Pm if necessary.

I have a meeting late next week where i will present the different options that i have found and then a decision will be made.

As i said im not against different providers.
There's pretty much a consensus among professional network design consultants that a multi node network works best using a single bandwidth provider. Not only for the day to day stuff about avoiding additional hops and bottlenecks when passing data back and forth through peering points, but also concerns about troubleshooting when things aren't working well. Certainly there will be more for you to manage during maintenance activities when you have to get multiple providers involved everytime there are delays between two of your locations.

There are enough problems with any trouble situation: is it the carrier, the loop, the firewall, the router, the server, one of the computers on the network? Add to that mix the interconnections between carrier A and carrier B. What type of cooperation between those carriers will you get if Peducah can't talk to Atlanta?

Your Houston employees can probably share with you the joke about the Space Shuttle being assembled from parts all from the lowest bidders.

If you are going to make a move, I'll strongly suggest that you use the same provider for all locations – sure, the monthly costs will be higher than farming everything out to the lowest bidders, but the ongoing management costs and headaches would be a lot lower. And there are several providers with full nationwide coverage.

Here's what I came up with, using a single recognized Tier 1 network provider that can serve every one of your locations (nothing touching a regional provider, or a Tier 2 like Covad), using pricing from a national reseller (single point of contact for all maintenance and billing). Average for a full T1 at all locations is about $420/month. Rates are stabilized for two years, and install costs waived, assuming customer provided equipment. Single invoices per location or consolidated HQ invoice -- your choice.
