I lost three friends

I lost three friends last night.
1 was a friend I knew from work, the other two were husband and wife that were neighbors to my aunt.
The friend I knew from work was drinking and driving. He crossed the line onto on coming traffic and crashed head on to the on coming car that contained my other two friends.
My heart goes out to all their family's and friends.

Our condolences for such a tragic loss. I have seen far, far too many of these horrible events; it is not something that I, and I think most people, can ever get inured to. Very likely the at-fault driver also leaves behind family trying to make some sense of this. Your whole community is suffering. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

Indeed this town is all talking about this. It is a very small community and just about everyone knows each other.
We have allot of this happen here, especially during the winter when there isn't much going on here and people just "drink" to pass the time.

What adds to this is that the at fault driver leaves behind his girlfriend, who just last Spring lost her daughter to a car crash. (Alcohol wasn't involved with that) She also lost her own mother during the summer of natuale cause (she was 98). Needless to say I am sure she must be doing horrible as well.

Thanks.
I went to the store and the cashier was talking to another customer. She was practically in tears talking about the accident.
She also knew the victims very well.
All three will be very missed.

That is indeed tragic, I'll pray for those left behind to deal with the results of one drunken moment.

I must say.
It is shocks like this that make me realize how short, and precious life is.
At least if you have a life threatening illness, you know your time is comming.
But when you are healthy, you don't think about dieing any time soon. You go out to dinner, and on your way home "BOOM" you are dead because of another person.

Two things I really learned today.
1) Life is precious. Treat it well.
2) Never drink and drive, under any circumstances. It isn't worth it.

I am very sorry to hear this, Domino. My heart goes out to all those affected. I must admit that when I was young I made the mistake of driving in that condition a few times, and as such:

There I go, save for the sake of the Creator...

So I won't judge, just mourn and feel sad for all involved, especially you, bless you!
