E8400 is where its at. Unless you can grab one of those $199 Q6600 from MicroCenter, or you are a video editor, dual-core Wolfdale at 4Ghz will beat quad-core Kentsfield at 3.6Ghz in any game on the market. Penryn core, clock-for-clock, is 10 percent faster than Conroe core. Plus its amazing how little power it consumes for such a fast chip.

Only problem is these damn Digital Thermal Sensors are a bit faulty. Still, I'm running 3.914 Ghz a 1.3125 VCore versus 1.225 stock. 37 away from Core throttle temp.
