Government data? Traffic control? Water meter reading? Bloomberg is an idiot. NY just seems to spawn, create, and host bad politicians. |

 | Maybe you should inform yourself about the program before you post. This is for city services, primarily for first responders. "As a result of this testing and our close collaboration with City agencies, the first devices will be ready for deployment on NYCWiN following launch in April. These include wireless vehicle modems for the NYPD, FDNY and OEM, wireless traffic control modems for DOT, and handheld units for agencies conducting enforcement and inspection activities in the field."

Sales tax rate: New York City 8.375% (4% of that to the city) City income tax rate: 1.9% to 4% on top of state income tax Real Estate tax: Some of the highest in the country

Re: $500 million said by fAcEtIOUs:Real Estate tax: Some of the highest in the country You think NYC is taxed high?
Try the outter boroughs. Suffolk and Nassau counties average $5000 ~ $10,000 per property, and this doesn't include their Village Tax.
Bloomie has worked the stock market to otherwise not tap property owners FURTHER for the 17% property tax hike he imposed 3 years ago.
Bloomie is an idiot by many, if not all counts, but I think you would see higher real estate taxes in some of the other large metro areas as well. |
