Windows cant obtain IP from cable modem

Help! I could not obtain IP from TWC. The cable modem is working, 2 solid lights and 2 blinking lights. Tried resetting modem, PC, but to no avail. Call TWC, upgrade the internet service to another provider, but i just could not get an IP address. Please help!

Try this - leave your computer on and connected to the cable modem. Then power off the cable modem for 15 secs and power it back on. See if that allows the PC to get an IP.

Totally depends on the model of modem he was looking at. Not all show the same front LED light sequence and not all the LED lights mean the same thing between the modems.

I don't think the OP had a Moto modem either...

Out of courisity you didn't happen to replace your NIC cards, or remove a router from your setup did you? If so you will defitely need to power cycle your modem after each change.
