| reply to Tursiops_G Re: Slow Broadband Speeds
Thank you both for your replies. Im sorry, but you misunderstood me about only booting in safe mode. That was BEFORE I used the recovery disc. My PC is like new again now - in fact it was probably a blessing because Ive gotten rid of all the junk, plus Ive now got the latest versions of most of the software I had before! Im sorry if I misled you. Because its after 4am now, I'l do another Tweak test at a more civilised time of the day and post again later. Thanks again, Stav |

My advertised Broadband speed is Tiscali Max 8mb. The little flashing tv boxes in the system tray indicate 8.3Mbps.

You are just getting slower results on the USA sites.

When I 1st upgraded I was getting 550-600kb/s at the same time of day.

These have always been faster in the early hours of the morning.

| You may want to try changing your RWIN to 124960 by using Dr.TCP, and see if that offers any improvement... Other than that, your settings are "Tweaked" about as best as possible.
The only other thing that you can do, is to contact your ISP, and see if they can investigate the issue.
