What a joke

I have no idea what paying by the message is like, as I've had unlimited messaging on all four of my lines for $10/mo for years. No, not $10/mo/each line, $10/mo for all four lines, unlimited SMS/MMS.

And hell, it's worth it just for the teenager, let alone us three adults.

Horay T-mobile.

Not that I'm interested (we're sane and our messaging charges never exceed $1.50 for all four lines), but how did you manage that? T-Mobile offers "any 400 domestic messages" for $5 per line or "unlimited domestic messages", which covers up to 5 lines but costs $15.

Well, I was going to post a picture of my online bill, but it isn't working with Firefox 3.0b5.

But yes, I double-checked, $10/mo for "unlimited messages for families". Maybe I'm grandfather in an old promotion; I've been with them for four years.

Sprint and at&t I know allow you to shut off incoming SMS. Not sure about VZW.

Yes, sometime in 2006 T-Mobile had a promotion for unlimited messaging for families that was $10/month. Not sure if they had that promo prior to that time, but I know it was heavily promoted for a while in 2006. That addon is now $19.99 and the old $10 price is grandfathered.
