Verizon FiOS TV → Tripple play: recent pricing in NJ

with splicers done, I am likely to be able to order the service soon I am told.

I am thinking about 3play. What should I expect to pay for:

- 20/20 internet (or 20/5)
- phone service (basic stuff, I'd like to get rid of VM if that saves any money)
- basic tv package + HBO

I will use my own TivoHD, so I guess there will be the 2 CC surcharge (and tivo monthly fees). I am OK with 2Y contract.

The package should only be $95 but that comes to about
$125-130 with HBO tax and other fees.

$95 is the old fee. I believe the current triple play price is $109 plus taxes, fees, etc.

Yes, it seems to have went up. I got a mailer today for $104.95/month.

Not getting VM will not save you any money. I already asked about that. If i were you, I'd ask anyway. It seems different people get different results, depending on who they talk to.

Were you an old Verizon customer? If so, you may get a $10/month off discount.... I THINK. I had V phone, switched to Cablevision/phone, then went back to V and got the $10/month off when I got the Fios triple pack with it.

I'm sure you'd get different pricing from different reps, but don't believe one if they tell you the price for triple play is less if you don't have voicemail. That answer, though I'm sure you'd like it, would be wrong and would lead to disappointment. The phone service with the Triple Play is pretty basic in terms of features and removing any doesn't lower the cost. I don't have voicemail and I pay the same price as if I did.

I received a mailer for FIOS it's $94.99 for the triple play but they reduced the internet from 20/5 to 10/2. I currently have 20/5 for that price.

Today's Record has an advertisement for $105/month for a 2 year contract 20/5 internet and a $200 Circuit City gift card.

Im a verizon fios sales consultant, I sell fios all day, there is no discount when u dont get vm, VM comes with the freedom essential phone portion of the triple play. the triple play starts at 99.99 with a one year contract, 104.99 with a 2 year contract, this is with 20/5, 20/20 is $20 more expensive.

geez, they've been advertising $115/month for the basic stuff here in the DC market lately. I'm not sure what my roommate just agreed to on his new contract.

Yes it looks like VA is being charged more than other locals.

Triple play with 5/2 is 104.99 (1 year)
109.99 (2 year)
or 114.99 TP w/ 15/2.

I'd be happy with 15/2 at $104.99 (2yr contract) but can only get 5/2 for 1 year at that price.
-Plus NY/NJ gets more HD (RSN). Central VA & Tidewater have none at this point.

we just did 12 months on the Triple-play promo, what should we expect in next month's bill or should we call, anyone?

I was notified it would go up $10/mo. I don't recall looking to confirm - I think my wife grabbed the bill to pay it before I saw it.
