Netopia 3347 DSL Router

I am trying to setup my router so that I can view my DVR from my home. When I setup the pinhole, I can't get a connection to my DVR. I also want to setup the DVR with a static Ip (192.168.1.250) but the router doesn't like the address. Can someone tell me exactly how to setup the Ip and the pinhole?

Thanks,
Billy C.

you don't do anything inthe 3347 to assign teh DVR a static IP. just go inthe Network setup of the DVR and set it to the desired IP.

Will the router recognize the DVR IP Address or will I have to reset the router?

it will recognize it as long as your set it up for a valid IP onthe LAN side.

your 3347 should be 192.168.1.254, so set the router as 192.168.1.X subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.254 DNS can be either the .254 or the ISP DNS servers.
