Re: There ought to be a law Speaking of the law falling behind the times, just look at all those pay services on cell phones that are hooked to the text messaging services! That area seems grossly unregulated as you can send one simple text message to a number and get charged almost $10 if not more, and some of them end up as repeating monthly charges with little or no notification that you are doing so in neither the text message itself nor in the type/format of number (its not like 1-900 or 976 ). That whole business seems sneaky and targeted towards naive kids.
