We (US) are at services. It's the same way as Japan, a lot of things use to be made there, but now they're outsourcing to China because Japanese wages have gotten too high/China is developed enough to do production.
China is a very large economy, but that's mostly due to the huge population, they're still quite poor, so they're a good place for manufacturing... |
