Not relevant what anyone has decided. Only thing relevant is that the article says the Dems would put Copps in as chair. Not true. Commissioner jobs are handed out as political favors. That is how Martin got the job - he was involved in Bushes' campaign is florida. His wife currently works for Cheney. Clinton is not going to name Copps. And in all likelihood, neither will Obama.
I also question whether McPain would name Martin. They have really disliked each other in the past. Martain is a Bush/Cheney loyalist. McPain is the rebel republican challenging the junta on things like broadcast spectrum give away and torture policy. I would not be surprised that McPain has his own folks to give political favors to. |
