Anyone in the cromwell area have a good place they take their car for service?
not under war, so i need a place not looking to rip me off -- www.stopfcc.comI do not think the government needs to restrict free speech especially on a device that has an off knob. |

| I used to work for Al's mobile on Main st for a couple of years for my first job(8-9 years ago, OMG). the owner was a great guy and never beat around the bush. I hung around the shop while waiting for people to get gas and they never did anything shady.
I live in plainville now for the past 8 months but i would think he is still doing good business |

| reply to P Ness Like anything do your research. I used to be an automotive technician (in my former life). Depending on what you need done, you should be able to go to your local library, get a Chilton book and see the approximate time it takes to do a job as well as parts involved. Figure the place will mark parts up about 100% over their cost (they do get a discount from their suppliers) and then add the time*labor rate. Labor is probably around $89/hour these days.
And get an estimate that clear states price, work to be performed and trigger points to stop work and contact you before any work gets done!!! -- Rich. My Website including the AT&T/SNET Status Page |
