And how much are you saving with all those downloads?
How much is a CD?
How much is a movie?
How much is a game/software? That's the point. That's why I still use broadband in Canada. But at 90$ a month...I'm not sure if I'm really saving anything, or if that's just a more convenient way of getting what I want when I want it. Plus original mediums is always better than downloaded stuff. They don't compare to France and Japan ISPs...but again, the demography of those country isn't comparable with ours. The real point why Canadian customers are complaining is the fact that technologies are supposed to evolve, but here in Canada, it's getting worst year after year. We were once better than USA on the broadband area, we are now weaker.
Edit: What the reviewer is not telling is that the High Speed service at 40$/month(if you take the one year engagement -10$, if you take their phone service -10$, original price is 60$/month) have a 50$ overcharge cap. So even if it's 8$ per gig over, it's 40$ + 50$ maximum. It's also important to note that their higher speed tier are'nt offering this overcharge cap, but have a 100gig combined cap(up/down). Which is, in my opinion, insanly stupid. The day they remove the 50$ overcharge cap I cancel the service, anyway I'll cancel it by October, and return to the stone ages. I'll start buying my media, which is just a transfer of money from a corporation, to another. There is more improtant stuff in life than entertainment, like food. |
