Hope, BC		[Vista] windows explorer fails to respond after chkdsk /f

I keep noticing windows explorer freezes up for about 30 seconds after running check disk.
I tried on XP and it doesn't happen.

Anyone know how to fix?

Someshire		 any more clues in eventviewer logs? why is chkdsk run and does it come up with errors found/fixed?
