| 911/311 fees here in NYC most cell phone customers pay $18 per year for "911 service" which is funny to me since 911 on cell phones was a government mandate (the same government who sold the cell phone companys their airwave frequencies in the first place), and the 911 money actually goes to pay for the new 311 government services development, since routing a cell phone call to the 911 operator is cost free. and no, you can't opt out of it. |
