@charter.com

 10/1 meg price

I've heard that Charter has removed their 3 meg service and only offer 5 and 10 meg for now. They might ass 20/1 meg in the future. which will make 5 and 10 meg cheaper
My question is:
My neigbor just upgrade from 5 meg to 10 meg and is paying around $60.00
I already have 10 meg and paying 79.39. Shouldn't it be around $60 something?

In my area It's $50 if you have cable $60 if you don't. New customers can get it for 6 months at $25 a month. Of course if you rent a modem you need to add $5.

Hey rob, if you call charter and choose the option to cancel service, and tell the retention representative that you're thinking about switching to DSL because of cost, they will probably offer you the $34.95 price, which is good for 12 months. It's definitely worth it for a 10-20 minute phone call. If they don't offer it to you, you're not obligated to actually quit.

Rob you are paying to much, even in your area.

Charter changed pricing for St.louis and surrounding area.

$54.99 for 16meg if available to you
$34.99 for 10meg
$24.99 for 5meg

Those are prices without bundling to, its not promotional pricing also.

If you bundle 16meg its 34.99 a month and 10meg is 24.99. I just use HSI only 16meg though.

Rob86

@charter.com

Sweet, I just called them and now the price will be $34.99 for 10 meg
And on top of that they will refund my money that I've been paying $69.99 for few months.

Advice to anyone that still pays $69.99 for 10 meg, call them

P.S. When is 16 meg available in St.Louis Area ?
16down/2up i suppose.
Thanks you everyone.

Well that sucks. Sure 10 meg use to be $70 even with a bundle so being $50 now is a nice price drop, but some of you get it for HALF that without it being a special? WTF? I like to hear an explaination why I should pay DOUBLE what others pay. Other than the typical "FiOS is in those areas" crap. OTHER than that I want to hear a LOGICAL explaination. I can't think of any.

$79.99 without any other Charter services. $69.99 with Charter services. These are the full prices without any specials, etc. 16megs for St Louis is still "unknown".

$34.99 for 10meg seems to be a good deal even WITHOUT FiOS in St Louis.

Rumor is when 16megs rolls out, it will drop to the 10meg prices. Does that mean 16/2 for $34.99? Getting sweeter!

16mb is 69.99 here. I have $15 off for 6 months. Will probably call back in 6 months and try to get it back down again.

He's probably just gloating, rubbing it in to all of us suckers who don't have it yet

I'm impatiently waiting...I thought as a Southern California resident, with FIOS in nearby areas, I'd be first on the list. When the midwest gets it before California, it seems like my world has been turned upside down!

I've online chatted with someone from Charter that I could tell english was not their first language. Or they just sucked at communicating that way.

Anyway, the point is that some were skeptical of the pricing, so i posted that to show charter saying price.
They should just call their local office and they'd get a price. Pretty much would solve their problems.

Just got off the fone with Charter.
Originally said I was considering going with Verizon Freedom package because I could get everything I got with Charter for what I was paying just for HSI, 81 bucks and 53 for fone. The rep said they had no offers in the area right now.
Then after some chit chat, he asked what state I was calling from and my number, then after a bit of silence, he said he could give me a promo offer on HSI for 12 months, knocking 35 bucks off the bill.

And, he spoke english, with a bit of a southern accent...heh

I've never got someone in sales that did not speak english or online chat. Its just tech support that has the problem.
