Re: tekcrappy

Since you are commenting on my review, I would assume you have read my review? Seems not tho. You would have known that between ~4pm to midnight the service slows right down. Infact people in my area get less then 1.5mbit do to rogers over selling and under servicing the node. Rogers has known about this issue for 2 years, yet still signs up new customers. So also could you explain how rogers 1.5mbit speed is 2mbit faster then 5mb?

Seems like your mistaken on a lot of things gurn. Rogers doesn't offer static ip's on their residential service at all. So the fact that tek savvy offers one doesn't mean i would be forced to pay for one. I would have to upgrade to rogers business service to get a static IP from Rogers. And those packages START at ~$100/month.

Secondly you seem to be including a $99 one time fee for teksavvy for modem purchase in a monthly comparison when thats not a monthly fee. Rogers charges about the same fee for modem purchase, infact when I purchased my modem from rogers it was $149.99...

Also you failed to mention the usage caps. Teksavvy's is 200gb for that plan, while rogers is ??? 60gb or 40gb.. or 2gb depending on what support staff you ask. Also tek savvy's overage rate is $0.25/gb, where rogers depending on who you ask at the company will be between $1.50 to $10/gb.

Sadly DSL isn't aviable in my area, which is why im still with slowgers.
