[Price] Raising 10.0 to $44.95 in Louisville

A few years ago when I first signed up Insight cable internet, the price was $44.95 per month. That was with no bundling, no cable TV, no phone, internet only.

I made a very short distance move last year, and when I transferred my service the new price was $40.00 per month. Again, no bundling. Obviously, I didn't complain about the lower price. I don't recall being told it was a special price.

This week I got a letter, welcoming me to "our cool new Insight Rewards program".

They explain in the letter, that due to this cool new program, my new price will "increase by just $4.95 per month".

I'm located in Louisville, and I own my modem so there is no rental for that.

What are others paying for the 10.0 service in Louisville with no bundling?

The regular price has always been $44.95 without cable. You were apparently given the new customer 1 year promotional rate when you moved.

Thanks for the info. I thought the regular price had gone down, due to competition from DSL, lower bandwidth costs, or whatever.

Here in Lexington my I was paying $44.95 per month but when I heard continuous advertising about their $30 per month special I got really mad and called Insight thinking they should take care of their existing customers as well.

At the time I had basic cable and the rep told me that if I would upgrade to the next level I could get the $30 promotional rate.

That was over 2 years ago. The second year I got a letter saying I'd continue to get the service for $30 per month.

After the second year I got a letter saying the rates would increase to $35 per month which is what I'm currently paying.
