Sounds like what they told you is correct - you have noise problems in the cable plant - bad connections ot Tap or something - could be at your residence affecting only you or someplace else affecting others also. You need to make sure they come out and check. Call back if you have to tell them about the noisy TV channels and losing internet connection.
