ATT DSL and email

Hi I am trying to work remotely and I have a problem with email. I am running Vista and Windows Mail and connecting to the internet using a Linksys wireless router connected through ATT DSL. I have internet access and I can receive email using my email settings, but I can not send.

In my accounts option I have it set to incoming mail.xxx.xxx and outgoing the same. I am not using ATT supplied email. I need to get out to my mail server (www.pandlstrategies.com) which is where it is all sitting. I tried turning on SSL and changing the Pop3 to 965 and the SMTP to 465 but it still doesnt let me send. I get the server not found error. I even changed the SMTP to att.sbcglobal.yahoo.com (or whatever the page said to name it).

Any suggestions?

Incoming mail server mail.xxx.xxx
Outgoing mail server mail.bellsouth.net (or whatever email server ATT uses near you)

I've had the same exact issue with ATT down in Florida. ATT restricts PORT 25. I was using ATT DSL at the house, but trying to send/receive email across my work servers. I didn't have to do anything special to receive mail, but I had to switch over to my Verizon aircard to send. I've since switched over to my local cable company (Brighthouse Networks) and I was automatically able to send...

They filter port 25 in an attempt to reduce spam mail going across their servers. In some areas you can fill out a form and ask them to remove the filter. Since I'm with the former BellSouth it didn't work for me... The forms I saw was intended more for SBC. Hopefully this won't be an issue when I switch to U-verse later this year...
