Wow.

Sat stuff is cool. I'd always wondered exactly where all these sats are, and then I found a cool NASA java app that will show you exactly where most of the sats are (in scale!) in real time! Check this out:

What I do is make the window a little bigger (fullscreen), zoom out a little, right click and center over North America. The big "ring" of sats all around the earth are all the geostationary sats. The click Sattelle>Select and pick from one of the DirecTV birds from the list (or any other sat that seems interesting). Then select Options>UpdateRate>1/4second and then Options>timing>x100 and be amazed

Pretty cool link. I played around on there viewing the different satellites. I truly had no idea that there were so many satellites in orbit! Honestly amazing!

haha, I said the same thing when looking at this with a co-worker. The robot apocalypse is at hand!
