1 edit | Basically, Epic Fail? This is basically a launch failure, and normally the satellite is useless and will probably fall from orbit in a few years.... however there have been reports this satellite is CLOSE to it's intended orbit, and perhaps, if they burn up some of the manuevering fuel, they may be able to get this satellite to it's correct position, and thereby recover it's usefulness. Otherwise, it's a big loss to Dish Network and to the subscribers, who end up having to pay the price for failures of this nature.
This is always a risk in any satellite launch. It's unfortunate. |
