Stupid IL PIN needed for state taxes

quote:
Your IL-PIN is available on the postcard or in the 2007 IL-1040 booklet you received in the mail. If you did not receive a postcard or a booklet in the mail, call 1 800 732-8866

yeah...that would be great if every time I called I didn't get a fast buy

The fastest growing form of identity theft is fraudulent tax returns. The thieves are submitting returns with wrong addresses to claim not just refunds but claims for Child Care Credits and Earned Income Credits. Be glad there is a PIN.

Hey - don't blame the state.

Blag and Tony Rezko were doing a really good job running the state till some misguided prosecutor indicted Tony, poor guy!

Hmm, I printed my forms off the internet. So what if I submitted everything and didn't enter a PIN #? Because I'm almost positive I didn't. I sent my forms in by mail a couple weeks ago.

To print out forms, you do not need a PIN.

If you mail in your completed form you do not need a PIN.

If you use the free, on-line submission of your confidential tax information, you do need a PIN.
