The fastest growing form of identity theft is fraudulent tax returns. The thieves are submitting returns with wrong addresses to claim not just refunds but claims for Child Care Credits and Earned Income Credits. Be glad there is a PIN. |

Hmm, I printed my forms off the internet. So what if I submitted everything and didn't enter a PIN #? Because I'm almost positive I didn't. I sent my forms in by mail a couple weeks ago. |

To print out forms, you do not need a PIN.
If you mail in your completed form you do not need a PIN.
If you use the free, on-line submission of your confidential tax information, you do need a PIN. |
