I'd always wondered exactly where all these sats are, and then I found a cool NASA java app that will show you exactly where most of the sats are (in scale!) in real time! The big "ring" of sats all around the earth are all the geostationary sats.  The click Sattelle>Select and pick from one of the DirecTV birds from the list (or any other sat that seems interesting).  Then select Options>UpdateRate>1/4second and then Options>timing>x100 and be amazed  :)]]></description>
