| What do I do????
Ok so i live in Verizon land in a town of around 2,000 people within a 5 mile radius, but Verizon will not provide DSL!!!! WHY!???!?? What can I do? Is there a way to get them to provide it? AT&T is about 5-10 miles away and they provide DSL to places with less people. Why is Verizon doing this??!?! Seriously hate 20kbps. |

Any Cable or Wisp's in the area?
Some Wisp's are pretty good. 
Don't even consider satellite.

So there is a rumor going around my town that verizon may start providing dsl...And sightings of verizon working on lines (replacing load coils maybe?)...Which is rare, I've seen more AT&T trunks than Verizon trunks....even though AT&T does not serve here because something to do with them not allowed to provide where verizon does.
Is there a way to tell if there prepping for dsl? If i called verizon would they tell if there giving me dsl soon?
Any advice would be very much appreciated. |

While I was waiting forever to get DSL I would simply ask one of them when I saw them sitting in their truck. I also made sure I interrupted them as brief as possible and thanked them. i figure in 10-15 years I can start asking them about FIOS, I know I won't see that any time soon. |

| They first told me they were working on the area and I should get it in about 6 months. Later when i stopped they told me I could call and get it when I still was being denied online. I talked to them about three times and two of the three were only a minute, the other guy seemed to want to talk, and went into other things too. |
