I think they just wanted to see if certain Comcast users were defiling the boxes they loved them so much.

Ah, but they are content providers. Comcast Sports Net, E!, The Golf Channel, G4 and several others are owned by Comcast and they sell local ad insertions on all of their systems. Such technology would be a gold mine for them.

Which is why I am certain Kunkel was not joking around.
