| I do not know the technical term for it, but basically your profile needs to be reset. I, and others here have had the same thing happen. Actually, it isn't any "biggie" just something in the system that needs to be reset, and often is not. Basic tech support folks are no help on this.
You should IM Mr. Fixit, and he should be able to help you.

I had the same problem in 2 locations. The main issue is that the speed is being limited for download. I had DSL Pro at a max of 2.2 MB down, when going to Elite it only went up to 2.4 MB and Up speed was near 760K.
Call the DSL Tech support line in Texas. They can test the line speed limits, and see what the DSL Modem Rack is set to for maximum transfer rate.
In one case the DSL was on a business line and a Tech came out and tested the line to be good up to 6.5Meg . Problem was they did not set the max speed at the substation rack to the Elite speed. |
