| reply to Miller Kax Re: [Complaint]: Lack of respect shown anonymous posters
said by Miller Kax :
Due to the appalling lack of respect that y'all have shown us anonymous trolls, I propose that no anonymous posts be made, for a period of one week, in DSLR Forums.
Mods, please help us out and block anonymous postings for one week. Let's show these ingrates what we mean to DSLR Forums. Miller Kax, from my vantage point it isn't a lack of respect that gets to me, but as my last thread which is now locked attempted to show, I think that the ability for a non-member to make requests on changing a website that they are not a member of should not be allowed. -- "I have measured out my life with coffee spoons..." - T.S Eliot Check Out the Tech Bench »johndball.blaize.net/index.php/tech-bench/ Ma blog: »www.johndball.com |

But, I do wish these threads from today would get locked up instead of everyone giving the troll the attention he's looking for. -- I Smell Cures! -- Our Hope |

I have to agree with you here.
I think that people who wish to propose changes should be willing to stand up and do so with their identity / posting history validating their opinion. We don't let 12 year olds vote for our governmental leaders, why does DSLR Forums let 12 year olds propose changes here?
Yet every time we start a serious discussion, a moderator posts sarcasm
Let's limit the number of anonymous viewers who can use the site too! And let's limit even further the number of anonymous posters who can post! Let's issue them ID cards to say they're not really members or wanted here, and that they're here only because of our magnanimity, and of course all other posters can challenge them to display the ID cards any time they post! Failure to do so will mean they'll be banished, and never allowed to become a member of this great site of ours! Let's banish their children too! No amnesty for anons! No mercy! God Bless DSLReports, land of the free! We're all anonymous, to whatever degree we wish to conceal our true identity. But most of us are at least willing to allow our verifiable posting history be part of our social existence, and our validity, here. -- Cheers, Chuck MS-MVP 2005-2007 [Windows - Networking] PChuck's Network |

Don't use that word - you'll get modded. Anonymous posters here have their rights. -- Cheers, Chuck MS-MVP 2005-2007 [Windows - Networking] PChuck's Network |
