I have to agree with you here.
I think that people who wish to propose changes should be willing to stand up and do so with their identity / posting history validating their opinion. We don't let 12 year olds vote for our governmental leaders, why does DSLR Forums let 12 year olds propose changes here?
Yet every time we start a serious discussion, a moderator posts sarcasm
Let's limit the number of anonymous viewers who can use the site too! And let's limit even further the number of anonymous posters who can post! Let's issue them ID cards to say they're not really members or wanted here, and that they're here only because of our magnanimity, and of course all other posters can challenge them to display the ID cards any time they post! Failure to do so will mean they'll be banished, and never allowed to become a member of this great site of ours! Let's banish their children too! No amnesty for anons! No mercy! God Bless DSLReports, land of the free! We're all anonymous, to whatever degree we wish to conceal our true identity. But most of us are at least willing to allow our verifiable posting history be part of our social existence, and our validity, here. -- Cheers, Chuck MS-MVP 2005-2007 [Windows - Networking] PChuck's Network |
