Look to buy a vpn service. Is there a list.

I was looking at dreamhost and they offer a vpn for $19.99 a month but I also have to buy hosting with will be around $100 + a year. I am looking to just spend atleast $10 a month. Is there a list of vpn services I can search to which one I like.

Why not invest in your own vpn equipment. Much cheaper in the long run and your data is never in the hands of others.

There are also lots of software ways of having secure connectivity between computers or sites.

Concur with the Anav...

Having a third party managing your vpn means you've got someone extra all "up in your bizness." The cost of your own vpn endpoint device to terminate remote connections is at an all-time "minimum" right now, so having your own connection would be to your advantage down the road.

Get a m0n0wall (or a pFsense).

You can build one using any old PC that you have laying around and use it as a VPN/Firewall.

It's completely free and open source. Save those $10 for something else.
