Reverse DNS

Does anyone know if when you have static IP service from Verizon Fios if they allow you to edit their rDNS records for help when setting up Mail Servers to ensure they aren't flagged as spam?

They will setup a PTR record for you, just give them a call. They will not, however, delegate authority for the /30 or /29, etc that you have provisioned.

I'm surprised they don't let you do it yourself through their website. I guess I will just have to have everything setup beforehand rather than calling in every time.

The whois for my IP (granted, it's a single IP, not a /29 or anything) does not show anything about my personal info.

Then again, all someone has to do is whois my hostname and they have my name, address, etc. Which, by the way, is required to be accurate by ARIN.
