so IOW, when you say 'the more it buffers, the longer the initial delay...', are you referring at all to the buffer I setup in the player itself? Because right now I have mine setup to buffer 25 sec |

| There is lots of different video solutions. For some, you don't pick the player.
Most are set to buffer what it feels will provide enough cushion to play non stop.
The more the buffer, theoretically the smoother the playback. If you do it manually, you need to find the right value based on your connection. If there is an option for the player to determine it, try that and see if things improve.
