I might be moving to Columbia in a few months.
I know they have TWC.
The website says they only offer 1.5, 5mpbs, and 8mpbs.
Do they offer 16mpbs like other cable companies and their website is not up to date or is TWC behind the times?

Road Runner Turbo is the fastest. The best I have seen is actually about 7.4 mbps |

15/1 "is" coming sometime in August. 
They have already began offering 10/768 in some areas.
Will: What about speed
upgrades, 8mbps is not enough. Doubt it since no real competition. Just
wondering.. Though I do see there is a 10mb business account. How much is that?

business account.

JimmyW: They are open from 7am-11pm. If you call now though they will lie to you telling you its not available. If you push hard enough they will finally tell you that it is coming in 4th quarter of 08. I got a tech support rep to give me a month and she said around august, she refused to give me her name. She said upload speed would be only 1mbps not 2mbps like everywhere else.  |

I'm in the Columbia area and have had a 7/1 Business Class connection at my house for about 1.5 years. About six months ago, I noticed that I was having some strange speed issues (nothing over about 500K) and suspected line problems. I power-cycled the cable modem to see if that would help and I have been running at 15/2 ever since. I think that they bumped the Business Class 7/1 up to 15/2 in the Columbia area. Needless to say, I have not called to complain!!! |

If you have a legit business use, call the local office and ask for a business sales rep. He or she will be happy to sell you a connection. You can even have a business connection AND a residential connection in the same location. Just be sure you order the residential stuff first.
I have residential TV, phone and Turbo. Plus I have a RR Biz Class account at the same address.
They just have to create a sub account in their system for the business service. Then they'll happily take your money.

Which would suck if they actually upgrade their speeds, cause then you'd be stuck!! or paying ALOT of money to break clause... |

All of a sudden this morning here on Earthlink RR near Myrtle Beach I am getting 6623 kb/s instead of the usual of about 4791 kb/s as seen from Speedtest.net.
