Only because they are.

This goes along with my favorite saying... 99 percent of facts are made up.... yes it's satire but its true. I mean they got whatever data they wanted, skewed it, and put it into a fancy report. Now, ever idiot politician, without three braincells, will read it and make laws based upon these findings. Way to go morons.

Here's some questions I'd like answered:

1) Did they use the old standard or new for broadband. 200 kpbs or 768?

2) How did they acquire their statistics. Did they physically get access to ISP grids before making their findings. Basically, did they look to see that 8 million out of 9 million households live in a broadband available area and then create findings this way? If so, did they make sure these grids and the data provided were accurate and up to date?

3) Assuming 1 & 2 are true (which is very doubtful), was this institute free from bias when compiling their data. Basically, was there any incentive for them to go negative or positive in either direction. In this sense, who funded this study and where did that money come from. My gut feeling tells me there were entities behind this study who wanted the numbers to appear good.
