You don't have to sell and profit for it to be illegal. If he uploads, it is against the law.

Right now instead of burning DvDs or cds, I download xvid or divx tv serieas and movies using bittorrent. In order to play it back on my tv, I use a 4 gb pendrive plugged into my phillips dvd player. Although it works fine , I like the idea of a set top box better than my current setup.

I was thinking in building a htpc so I can get playback of all formats out there, but if a set top box will be selling shortly I might wait a little bit.

Note : It is not illegal to download bittorrent files in this country, as long as I dont sell and profit from it the local authorities wont be looking for me :D :p
