Has anyone tried AVG 8? I downloaded it, and it totally sucks. It has all these extra features, and if you disable them it marks it as not totally functioning (which drives me insane). Plus it adds a firefox plugin that when you do a search it checks each link to tell you if it's safe or not (you can disable the plugin).
I went back to AVG 7. I prefer simple program. I fear that when times come, I'll have to find another AV since I do not want to use AVG 8.
I wish AVG 8 would let us "uninstall" those components (like spyware & rootkit).
Not to mention prevented trillian from accessing MSN (because it logs all MSN chats for viruses). I had to uninstall AVG 8 to get MSN working again. Which is fine with me, I prefer AVG 7.
