Once Bush and those before him established this system as a plutocracy, and NOT a democracy (or republic for that matter)things in this country SHOULD have turned around. But, since we are so seemingly afraid of change, nothing happened. I know this for a fact because I marched in protest of the coming invasion of Iraq with millions of other people around the world, and guess what? Nothing changed!It was so shocking to hear about Dennis Kozlowsky's $6000.00 shower curtain yet where I live, people live on the most well-known sidewalks in cardboard boxes and that seems normal. We can complain,whine, and feign shock at the next new hoax perpetuated on us by the wealthy, but until we hold them accountable, we get what we deserve.I hear that a deal has been struck so that Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. will be one big country by 2010. If that happens, I wonder how we'll handle it? |
