Well, they tried to charge my credit card, but since I was using a new card, the charge was refused. I was lucky, I guess.

I would be careful with this. 1&1 does have a history of sending accounts it tried to bill but can't to collections even though the customer has "canceled".

Tampa, FL		 You know what? I have emails from them confirming the cancellation. More than 1, in fact.

I'd love to see them coming after me with all the documentation I have.
