k1ll3rdr4g0n : You do know that they probably do that for your own security. The long username is alot harder to crack/guess than just bob.

But in any case, I don't have hosting with them but I purchase my domains from them because they are the cheapest I know of (I host myself). I only had 1 little glitch, but they seemed to fix that after I called and talked to some oriental woman that could barley speak english. The problem was when I was changing the DNS servers to my own, it gave me some goofy error message like those DNS servers were not approved. But, that was a long time ago and if I did have it again (which was only 1 other time), I just change the order I put them in like ns4 would be first ect and it took it. DNS updates take....a few minutes. Other than that everything is streamlined. Their VPS seems like a deal though. And also, after you have canceled your account, you should have called your credit card company and talked to them about it. Because then if you tell your CC company that you don't want that service, and they try to charge it they have to deal with your CC company and not you (which usually has more money than you). Which I'm sure they could put some sort of block on 1&1 from charging your account. Changing credit card numbers just makes you look like the bad guy because it almost seems like fraud, where you trying to get their service for free.
