Yes, but AMD still owned a small percentage of the market even in their leading years, and much of that was on the products with lower margin. Yes, AMD is in trouble. The biggest problem is they are saddled with massive debt they cannot escape from. They are losing a large amount of money every quarter. The stock price is today is $6.32, it was $16.19 in Oct '07. Current market conditions are making it very difficult for them to finance their debt.
It's say it's 50/50 AMD goes under within the next year.
